Tiny Homes

Tiny homes provide an almost perfect solution for the 'weekender' lifestyle block. Tiny homes are built on registered trailers and are classified as caravans and do not require a DA approval.

We work with one of Australia's leading tiny home manufacturers. They build the best tiny homes we have seen.

The building methods used to construct these tiny homes will last the test of time – and with over 35 years registered building experience, we can guarantee you will get lasting value for your investment.

Each tiny home has the character and functionality of a permanent house but has the added benefit of being on a maneuverable tri-axle trailer.

Section Title

  • DO I NEED COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR MY TINY HOUSE?
Tiny Homes are built on registered trailers, with permits to move large loads, and do not require council approval. Caravans do not require DA approvals, but councils can limit the amount of time someone can permanently live in one. This ruling may vary from Council to Council and State to State. We strongly recommend contacting your local council for further information and current regulations.
  • DO TINY HOMES OFFER OFF GRID SOLUTIONS?
Yes. Tiny homes offer full off grid solar system packages, a variety of composting toilet options, gas water heating system and gas appliances, rainwater storage tanks, pumps and water filters.
  • ARE THE TINY HOUSES INSULATED? WHAT TYPE OF INSULATION DO YOU USE?
Yes, all tiny houses are insulated beautifully, as our partner uses refrigerated panelling in their frames and roof, which is used widely in coolrooms to create ambient temperatures all year round.
  • HOW DO I CONNECT TO GAS? WHAT GAS TYPE?
All tiny homes have a dual gas regulator that takes 2x LPG gas bottles as standard. You can use either a 9L barbecue gas bottle or even the tall long 40L bottles. Connection can be done by anyone, just like connecting the gas bottle to a barbecue.
  • HOW DO I CONNECT TO WATER?
Just like a conventional caravan, tiny houses come with a standard garden hose plug connection. Alternatively our partner can offer rainwater storage tanks, pumps and gutter systems at an additional cost allowing you to go off grid.
  • HOW DO I CONNECT TO ELECTRICITY?
All our partner's standard tiny houses run on a 15amp mains power with a switchboard. The tiny house can be plugged in using an electrical power lead just like a traditional caravan. A solar system can also be installed at an additional cost or this can be added at a later stage. All tiny homes come “Solar Ready” - giving you the option of beginning in an off-grid capacity and converting to power and sewer if and when it becomes available on your site.
  • CAN I CONNECT TO SEWER MAINS? WHAT OTHER OPTION DO I HAVE IF I CAN`T OR DON`T WANT TO CONNECT TO SEWER?
Most tiny homes come with a standard flush toilet. It is the customers responsibility to obtain the services of a qualified plumber to connect to sewage or septic tank. As an alternative and much greener option, our partner can install and supply waterless composting toilets that do not require a plumber on site or any connection.
  • DO COMPOSTING TOILETS SMELL?
Composting toilets nowadays are very complex and effective systems and with minimal maintenance will not cause odours and are very efficient systems for an off-grid situation.
  • HOW MUCH DOES A TINY HOME COST?
Our partner's tiny homes are constructed with the utmost quality in respect to cost, materials and energy. There are upgrade factors that can increase the investment options, but base model prices for their 7.2 x 3.0m model are from $98,000 ready to deliver.
